Lichen Sclerosus.

What is it?

LICHEN SCLEROSUS is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which primarily affects the skin of the genitals and the area surrounding the anus.. Postmenopausal women are at higher risk to get LICHEN SCLEROSUS.

Untreated, LICHEN SCLEROSUS can result in scarring and deformities. Recent studies show that LICHEN SCLEROSUS may be treated with a regenerative medicine like PRP Therapy, which can help reduce and sometimes even eliminate the need for corticosteroids and/or other anti-inflammatory medications.

 

Signs and symptoms:
